BYD has released official interior images of the second-generation Seal 07 in China, presenting a redesigned cabin it calls the “Ocean Rhythm” cockpit. The reveal follows prototype photos that leaked on October 22. It comes as deliveries of the outgoing model fell 37.3% month on month in September, to 624 units.

The new cabin swaps the previous circular crystal gear selector for an electronic steering-column stalk, making room for two angled wireless charging pads, metallic toggle controls and two cupholders on the floating console. Other features shown include a three-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel, digital instrument display, head-up display, heated, ventilated and pneumatic-massage front seats, and a 20-speaker Devialet audio system. BYD also highlights rear-seat space; the car’s wheelbase is 2,960 mm.

The Seal 07 measures 5,080 mm long, 1,960 mm wide and 1,495 mm tall—85 mm longer and 50 mm wider than the outgoing EV, with a 60 mm longer wheelbase. Chinese regulatory data lists two EV powertrains: a 245 kW motor with a 76.744 kWh LFP battery and up to 775 km of CLTC range, or a 300 kW motor with an 88.682 kWh battery and up to 875 km. Both have a 240 km/h top speed. The DM-i plug-in hybrid pairs a 115 kW 1.5-litre turbo engine with a 160 kW electric motor and 38.029 kWh battery, for a listed 245 km WLTC electric range. The EV is listed with roof-mounted LiDAR; the DM-i is not.
