BYD has introduced the second-generation Seal 07 in China, offering the sedan as both a battery-electric car and a plug-in hybrid. Prices start at 139,900 yuan before discounts; the EV range is priced from 149,900 to 172,900 yuan, while the DM-i hybrid costs 139,900 to 149,900 yuan. Limited-time offers bring the overall range down to 135,900–168,900 yuan.

The new model measures 5,080 mm long, 1,960 mm wide and 1,495 mm tall, with a 2,960 mm wheelbase. Its cabin includes a 15.6-inch central display, a 10.25-inch instrument screen and a head-up display. A wearable companion device called Diva, magnetic accessory mounts and standard heated and ventilated front seats are among its features. Higher trims add massaging front seats, heated and ventilated rear seats, 20 speakers and a built-in refrigerator.

The rear-wheel-drive EV produces 245 kW and reaches 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds. Its 76.7-kWh Blade 2.0 LFP battery is rated for up to 775 km under China’s CLTC test cycle, and BYD says charging from 10% to 97% takes nine minutes. The DM-i pairs a 1.5-litre petrol engine with a 160-kW electric motor and offers 330 km of CLTC electric range from its 38-kWh battery.

The launch follows weak sales for the first-generation car: BYD delivered 8,017 Seal 07s in China between January and September 2026. The updated sedan also brings God’s Eye B driver assistance, including navigation-assisted driving on urban roads and highways.
