BYD is preparing to show a new Yangwang flagship sedan in the United Arab Emirates, with sources telling CarNewsChina that a Dubai unveiling is being targeted for around November 5. Pre-production cars have been seen on transporters in China, reportedly awaiting shipment to the Middle East. Yangwang sales chief Hu Xiaoqing confirmed on October 21 that the brand would present an executive sedan in the UAE, but neither a date nor a venue has been announced officially.

The car, internally called Project HU, appears in spy images with rear-hinged doors, a tall grille, split headlamps, darkened rear windows and roof-mounted LiDAR. Media estimates put its length near 5,500 mm and its wheelbase above 3,350 mm; BYD has not verified those figures. The company has also disclosed no details of the sedan’s powertrain, output, suspension or weight. Other Yangwang models use BYD’s four-motor e⁴ system and DiSus active suspension, but their use on this sedan is unconfirmed.

Chinese media have speculated that the car could cost more than 2 million yuan (about US$299,600). That would position it above the Yangwang U7, which starts at 658,000 yuan, and the U8L Dingcang Edition, listed from 1,458,000 yuan. For comparison, the JAC-built Maextro S800 is reported to cost 728,000–1,018,000 yuan. Yangwang already has a UAE distribution presence through Al-Futtaim Electric Mobility, and its local website lists the U8 Arabian Edition at 659,900 dirhams. The HU’s official name, price and sales schedule remain unknown.
