BYD’s luxury marque Yangwang is preparing to show its Project HU sedan in the United Arab Emirates, with Dubai reportedly the venue in early November. A Yangwang executive confirmed on October 21 that the brand plans to introduce a business-class sedan in the UAE, but the company has not announced an exact date or location. Project HU pre-production vehicles have since been seen on transporters in China, amid reports that cars are being shipped to the Middle East. Chinese media have pointed to around November 5 for the unveiling; that timing has not been officially confirmed.

Earlier reports put the sedan at about 5,500 mm long, with a wheelbase exceeding 3,350 mm. If those estimates prove accurate, it would be similar in size to the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class and Huawei-JAC’s 5,480-mm Maextro S800. Leaked images suggest rear-hinged coach doors, a tall grille, split headlamps, a prominent C-pillar and separate rear privacy glass. A roof-mounted LiDAR sensor is also visible, though it does not establish which driver-assistance features will reach production.

Chinese media estimate a price above 2 million yuan, but BYD has not confirmed pricing. That would put Project HU above the Maextro S800, listed at 728,000–1,018,000 yuan, and Yangwang’s U7, which starts at 658,000 yuan. Powertrain, battery, suspension, weight and retail timing remain undisclosed. Yangwang already sells vehicles in the UAE through Al-Futtaim Electric Mobility; its U8 Arabian Edition is listed there at a converted price of 4.64 billion Vietnamese dong.
