BYD dealers in Brazil are advertising discounts on the Seal that bring its price close to that of the Honda Civic Advanced Hybrid. The Seal’s list price is R$299,990, while offers can reduce it to R$270,000 when a customer trades in a used BYD. That is R$3,500 above the Civic’s cited price of R$266,500.

The terms vary by retailer. A BYD Itavema outlet in Rio de Janeiro lists certain white 2026/2027 cars at R$280,000, with a R$20,000 bonus and no BYD trade-in requirement. A Mogi das Cruzes dealer offers a R$30,000 trade-in bonus for a used BYD. It also advertises financing with a 60% down payment and the balance spread over 36 interest-free installments.

The Seal is a large electric sedan with two motors producing a combined 531 hp and 68.3 kgfm of torque. BYD quotes a 0–100 km/h time of 3.8 seconds. Its 82.5-kWh battery is rated for 372 km under Brazil’s Inmetro test, and the automaker says a 150-kW charger can take it from 30% to 80% in 30 minutes. The trunk holds 400 litres.

Figures attributed to the Brazilian Electric Vehicle Association put Seal sales at 967 units in 2026, versus 58 Civic hybrids in the first nine months of the year. The article notes that medium sedans account for a larger market than large sedans, and identifies the Toyota Corolla as Brazil’s current best-selling model in the category.
