BYD has confirmed that the Ti7, sold under the Fang Cheng Bao name, will enter the Brazilian market next year. The company disclosed the plan at a dealer convention in Mendoza, Argentina, according to CNN Brasil Auto. The SUV was recently launched in Argentina and is similar in size to the Denza B5.
The Ti7 uses BYD’s DM-p plug-in hybrid system, combining a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with two electric motors for 354 hp and all-wheel drive. Its 35.6 kWh battery is associated with a claimed electric-only range of 115 km, while total combined range is rated at 1,015 km. BYD’s stated average fuel consumption is 16.9 km/l, and the SUV can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds.
At 5,146 mm long, 1,995 mm wide and 1,865 mm tall, the Ti7 has a 2,900 mm wheelbase. Cabin features highlighted in the report include a 15.6-inch central display, two 50-watt wireless phone-charging pads and a small refrigerator. The article says the Brazilian model is expected to cost less than the equivalent of R$304,000, the price cited for the SUV in Argentina, and places it in Brazil’s R$300,000 price segment. No Brazilian price was announced.
