Chery’s Jetour brand launched its expanded T1 lineup in China on November 4, 2026. Sold locally as the Freedom 7 and Freedom 7 Plus C-DM, the range adds a front-wheel-drive 1.5T entry model and a plug-in hybrid alongside the existing 2.0T all-wheel-drive version. The entry model’s limited-time promotional price starts at 89,900 yuan (about $13,500), against an official starting price of 113,900 yuan. The PHEV promotional range is 124,900–141,900 yuan; offers are subject to trade-in conditions.
The lineup includes four 1.5T trims, two 2.0T Plus trims and three Plus C-DM PHEVs. The entry petrol model makes 135 kW and 290 N·m, paired with a seven-speed wet dual-clutch transmission. The 2.0T Plus produces 187 kW and 390 N·m and uses all-wheel drive. The PHEV combines a 1.5T engine with a 26.6-kWh battery, delivering a CLTC-rated 150 km of electric range and a claimed combined range of 1,300 km.
The standard T1 measures 4,749 mm long and has a 2,800-mm wheelbase; the longer Plus versions have a 2,810-mm wheelbase. Inside, a 15.6-inch touchscreen runs Chery’s Tour OS, with DeepSeek and iFlytek Spark language models supporting voice interaction. Higher-spec Plus models also offer Falcon 500 driver assistance, including highway navigation, automated parking and emergency braking.
Jetour said its boxy SUV family had exceeded 840,000 cumulative global sales, including more than 222,000 T1 units. The T1 is also sold in markets including Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
