Changan Automobile launched the Nevo Q06 mid-size SUV in China on Wednesday, September 24. Its six-variant lineup includes five battery-electric versions and one extended-range electric version. Limited-time prices run from 135,900 yuan to 165,900 yuan (about $20,140 to $24,580), below official guide prices of 139,900 yuan to 169,900 yuan.
The Q06 measures 4,837 mm long, 1,970 mm wide and 1,670 mm tall, with a 2,940 mm wheelbase. Its BEV versions use an 800-volt silicon-carbide platform and support 6C charging; Changan says charging from 30% to 80% takes nine minutes. Battery options are 66.02 kWh and 80.02 kWh, with CLTC-rated ranges of 602 km, 670 km or 700 km. Rear-wheel-drive models produce 225 kW or 245 kW, while the dual-motor version delivers 330 kW and accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds.
The EREV combines a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine with a 28.39-kWh LFP battery. It offers 200 km of battery-only driving and a stated combined range of 1,600 km. All versions include Changan’s SDA Pilot Pro driver-assistance system, a Horizon Robotics J6M processor rated at 128 TOPS and LiDAR. For 9,900 yuan extra, buyers can upgrade to SDA Pilot Ultra, which raises computing capacity to 560 TOPS and adds a 256-channel LiDAR sensor and urban navigation assistance.
Cabin features include two 15.6-inch displays, a two-compartment 9.5-liter refrigerator and zero-gravity front seats. Storage comprises a 196-liter front trunk and a 782-liter rear cargo area. Changan is entering a crowded 150,000-to-200,000-yuan SUV segment, where the Q06 will compete with models including BYD’s Song Ultra EV and Sealion 06, Leapmotor’s C10 and XPeng’s G6.
