Changan's Nevo line launched the Q06 mid-size crossover in China on September 23, and brand officials said the order book had grown to 35,000 units by the next day. Priced from 139,900 yuan (about 20,845 USD), the electric SUV goes head-to-head with the BYD Song Ultra, which needed a full week after its debut to reach 37,216 orders. While orders are not the same as actual deliveries, the figure points to strong early demand.
The model lands at a good moment for the sub-brand. According to China EV DataTracker, Nevo delivered 215,533 vehicles between January and August 2026, a 44.9% year-over-year increase, with the smaller and cheaper Q05 SUV accounting for 107,768 units of that total. Positioned in the 139,900–169,900 yuan bracket, the Q06 is expected to lift both volumes and margins, and Changan plans to take it to foreign markets after the domestic rollout.
Styled under former Volkswagen designer Klaus Zyciora, the 4,837-mm-long five-seater rides on a 2,940-mm wheelbase and offers a 15.6-inch center screen, a ceiling-mounted display and a built-in fridge, plus 782 liters of trunk space and a 196-liter front compartment. Its driver-assistance hardware pairs a roof-mounted 256-line LiDAR with 11 cameras and three radars, feeding a 560-TOPS computing platform that enables automatic braking from up to 135 km/h and emergency steering between 60 and 120 km/h.
Buyers can pick from three rear-drive battery-electric trims producing 302, 329 or 443 hp, with 66- or 80-kWh packs delivering 602–700 km of CLTC range, or an extended-range variant that combines a 362-hp motor and 28.4-kWh battery with a 1.5-liter generator for up to 1,600 km of combined range.
