Chery’s Arrizo 7 has appeared in China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology vehicle filings, ahead of a planned domestic launch in the fourth quarter of 2026. The sedan, developed from the Arrizo S concept, will be offered with a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine or a 1.5-litre C-DM plug-in hybrid system. Chery positions it between the Arrizo 5 and Arrizo 8; the earlier Arrizo 7 was discontinued in 2018.

The petrol model’s engine produces 115 kW gross and 105 kW net, with 235 Nm of torque, and is paired with a dual-clutch transmission. Its listed fuel consumption is 6.20 L/100 km. The C-DM combines a naturally aspirated 1.5-litre engine, an electric motor and a dedicated hybrid transmission. It has a 19.527 kWh LFP battery and a reported electric-only range of 116 km. Chery cites more than 1,700 km of combined range on the CLTC cycle, while the filing lists fuel consumption of 0.69 L/100 km.

The Arrizo 7 measures 4,739 mm long and has a 2,770 mm wheelbase. The petrol version weighs 1,350 kg; the hybrid weighs 1,598 kg. Both are listed with a maximum speed of 180 km/h. The exterior carries over the concept’s large grille and angular headlights, while the cabin has separate central infotainment and instrument displays alongside physical console controls.

Chery also presented the car as a global-market model, saying its development took requirements from more than 70 countries into account. Export timing, final equipment details and Chinese prices have not been announced.
