Chery has unveiled the Tiggo X7, a mid-size SUV with a more adventurous character than the Tiggo 7. The model introduces the Tiggo X family, which is intended to offer a rugged-looking alternative while retaining the space and comfort of a conventional SUV. It seats up to five people and is positioned below Chery’s larger seven-seat models.
The X7’s exterior features straighter body lines, plastic wheel-arch cladding and reinforced bumpers. Its grille is finished in the body color, and details on the front bumper evoke recovery hooks. At the rear, C-shaped LED lamp units replace the light bar used on the Tiggo 7. Chery has also fitted raised suspension and mixed-terrain tires for uneven surfaces.
Six driving modes are designed for conditions including snow, mud, sand, rocks and water crossings, with electronic systems adjusting the vehicle’s behavior. Chery has not specified the engines; the report says similar four-cylinder gasoline and plug-in hybrid options to those offered in the regular Tiggo 7 are expected. The stated maximum towing capacity is 1,500 kg. Inside, the SUV has a digital instrument display, a horizontal infotainment screen and customizable ambient lighting. Pricing has not been announced. The report expects the X7 to cost more than the Tiggo 7, which starts at £24,995 in the UK.
