A PakWheels expert review of the Chery Tiggo 8 PHEV in Pakistan examines the seven-seat SUV using Suneel Munj’s 10,000-km long-term experience. Its 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine works with an 18.3-kWh battery and two electric motors to provide all-wheel drive, with a combined output of 496 hp and 735 Nm. Chery claims up to 90 km of electric-only range; the review reports 70–80 km in ordinary city driving before the vehicle switches to hybrid operation at 20% battery charge.

The review describes a flexible cabin with three rows, a powered tailgate and more than 700 litres of luggage room with the third row folded. Folding both rear rows opens up over 1,100 litres. The third row is better suited to children or shorter journeys for adults. Equipment includes a 15.6-inch infotainment screen, a 10.25-inch driver display, a head-up display, Urdu navigation, Level 2 driver assistance, 10 airbags and a 540-degree camera system.

PakWheels cites average fuel economy of about 15 km/l in mixed city driving and 12.8–13 km/l at 120 km/h. Charging from the grid is estimated at PKR 900, while the review puts city running costs at PKR 10–12 per kilometre; home solar charging could bring that to around PKR 5 per kilometre. A 7-kW AC charger takes 2.5–3 hours to charge the battery.

As of October 2026, the listed ex-factory price is PKR 10,999,000. Local distributor Master Motor Company offers a six-year/150,000-km vehicle warranty and an eight-year/160,000-km battery warranty. The review presents the Tiggo 8 as Pakistan’s most affordable seven-seat AWD PHEV, though that positioning is the publication’s assessment.
