Chery showed the next-generation Tiggo 7 at its global gathering in Wuhu, China. The company has kept the SUV’s familiar overall styling but updated its bumpers, side skirts, grille, LED lighting and alloy wheels. The side mirrors now sit on the door panels, and a revised rear light assembly completes the exterior changes.

The more substantial revisions are inside. A large horizontal infotainment display and a separate digital instrument panel replace the previous dashboard layout, while physical switches remain below the main screen. Front seats gain heating, ventilation, massage and retractable leg supports. Customizable ambient lighting runs across the dashboard, and the luggage area holds 505 liters with the rear seats in place—a little less than in current gasoline-only versions.

A roof-mounted module houses sensors and cameras for an ADAS package with 20 functions. The Tiggo 7 range will include gasoline-powered versions and plug-in hybrids, which Chery calls Super Hybrid. The PHEV system adds a scheduling function in the infotainment system, allowing owners to set when the vehicle draws power from a home outlet. A full-hybrid version may join the lineup later, according to the report.

Although the new generation is intended for global markets, a Brazilian introduction is not expected soon. The article notes that Caoa Chery follows its own launch schedule and that the Tiggo 7 2027 received a design update in Brazil in August.
