Danza has begun selling its Z9GT electric grand tourer in Indonesia, where it is priced at Rp 2.25 billion. That compares with a China-market price range of 269,800 to 369,800 yuan, equivalent in the report to about Rp 721.7 million to Rp 989.2 million.
Eagle Zhao, president director of PT BYD Motor Indonesia, attributed the gap in part to differences between national tax systems. The Indonesian price also reflects import duty, import VAT and luxury-goods sales tax, along with shipping, insurance, port and distribution expenses, and vehicle homologation.
Zhao highlighted the Z9GT’s second-generation Blade Battery, flash charging, e3 technology and DiSus-A system, as well as its exterior and interior customization options. The car is built on BYD’s e³ platform and uses three electric motors to provide all-wheel drive.
The Z9GT’s combined output is listed at 850 kW, or 1,156 PS, with 1,210 Nm of torque. Danza claims a 0–100 km/h time of 2.7 seconds and a driving range of 701 km under the NEDC test cycle.
