Deepal has introduced the S09 in Egypt, where local distributor GB Auto is offering the Chinese brand’s six-seat SUV in two range-extended electric vehicle (REEV) trims. Prices start at EGP 2.85 million for the Premium, while the Signature costs EGP 3.1 million.
According to Deepal Egypt’s website, the REEV version produces up to 362 kW and has a claimed range of 1,100 km under the NEDC test cycle. The site also states that fast charging can bring the battery to a full charge in 65 minutes. A brochure download is listed for a fully electric version, but that option is not active.
The cabin is specified with six seats and “Cloud Smart” seats featuring heating, ventilation and integrated leg rests. Other listed features include rear air vents, a refrigerator built into the armrest and three displays: a 15.6-inch central infotainment screen, a separate 15.6-inch screen for the front passenger and a 21.4-inch rear entertainment display. Safety and driver-assistance equipment includes 540-degree surround vision and blind-spot detection.
