Changan’s Deepal brand is scheduled to launch the 2027 L06 sedan in China on Oct. 9, less than a year after the current model arrived. The brand has not announced pricing for the new version. The existing L06 starts at 125,900 yuan (about $18,690), and competes in China with models including the Xpeng Mona M03 and BYD Seal 06.

Deepal describes the 2027 L06 as a long-range, AI-focused sports sedan with magnetorheological suspension. Chairman Deng Chenghao said its upgraded AI functions include an AI Agent and an AI Box, intended to interpret a driver’s needs from a spoken request. Developed with Intel, the in-car AI Box uses the company’s Core Ultra platform. Deepal says this computing capability is being brought to vehicles in the roughly 150,000-yuan price class. The new model’s full specifications and range have not been disclosed in the report.

The launch is also set to include the L06 Zhuifeng edition, first shown at the Chengdu Auto Show in August. It has track-oriented parts, a fixed carbon-fiber rear wing and a distinctive yellow finish; Deepal says it can produce up to 1,000 N of downforce at speed. Separately, Deepal’s S07 and S05 SUVs will be displayed at Changan’s booth at the Paris Motor Show, running Oct. 12–18. The current L06 is a five-seat, rear-wheel-drive sedan with a 200-kW rear motor, LFP batteries and CLTC-rated ranges of 560 km or 670 km.
