Denza will begin accepting non-binding reservations in China for its all-electric N8 SUV on October 26, 2026, ahead of a commercial launch and customer deliveries scheduled for November. The announcement on the brand’s official Weibo account clarifies that the date shown on the vehicle’s centre display is the reservation start, not the market launch. Denza has not yet disclosed pricing.
The new N8 is a five-seat electric SUV built on BYD’s e-Platform 3.0 Evo. It is distinct from the six-seat N8L and from an earlier N8 plug-in hybrid, which launched in August 2023 and was later discontinued. Chinese regulatory filings list three powertrain options: a flagship all-wheel-drive configuration with three motors and two rear-wheel-drive versions using single motors.
The tri-motor version combines a 270 kW front motor with two 310 kW rear motors, for a total output of 890 kW, or 1,193 hp. Its listed top speed is 240 km/h. BYD’s FinDreams Battery supplies the LFP Blade batteries; listed capacities are 105.792 kWh and 130.15 kWh. Certified CLTC range figures span 800 to 1,003 km, with the longest range attributed to the larger pack. Regulatory images show roof-mounted LiDAR, but Denza has not confirmed the driver-assistance features. The N8L, a larger six-seat model, is priced from 299,800 to 329,800 yuan, but N8 EV pricing and its final configuration lineup remain unannounced.
