China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has published regulatory filings for the all-electric Denza N9, a full-size SUV from BYD’s Denza brand. The listing covers two versions with different braking systems and specifies an 890 kW (1,194 hp) tri-motor all-wheel-drive setup. The filing does not announce a launch date or confirm when the SUV will go on sale.
The powertrain pairs a 270 kW front motor with two rear motors rated at 310 kW apiece. Maximum speed is listed at 240 km/h. The two configurations have curb weights of 3,105 kg and 3,180 kg, and a gross vehicle weight of 3,760 kg. The N9 measures 5,270 mm long, 2,030 mm wide and 1,830 mm tall, with a 3,125 mm wheelbase. Five- and six-seat layouts are listed, along with optional 22-inch wheels and roof-mounted LiDAR.
Guangxi ASEAN FinDreams Battery will supply the LFP cells, with Shenzhen BYD Auto Industry responsible for pack assembly. However, the filing omits battery capacity, CLTC range and charging details. The existing N9 plug-in hybrid is priced from 389,800 to 469,800 yuan in China, though its weight is not directly comparable across configurations. The article also places the EV against the battery-electric Aito M9 and the high-output plug-in hybrid Zeekr 9X in China’s premium SUV segment.
