At the Paris Motor Show, BYD’s luxury marque Denza said it plans to offer urban driver assistance in Europe from 2027. The City Navigation on Driving Assistant (CNOA) system is intended for the Z9GT and will be delivered through an over-the-air software update. It can navigate city routes without relying on high-definition maps, using the brand’s God’s Eye package to recognize traffic lights, road diversions and right-of-way situations. Planned functions include handling roundabouts, making turns and steering around stationary vehicles. The system uses lidar, 11 cameras, three millimeter-wave radars and 12 ultrasonic sensors; drivers must keep their eyes on the road and hands on the wheel.
Denza also displayed the Denza Z, an electric sports car based on the e3 Sports Car platform. Its three motors—one at the front and two at the rear—produce 1,604 hp and 126.5 kgfm of torque. The coupe is claimed to reach 100 km/h in 2.25 seconds, while the track-focused Racing version, with semi-slick tires, does it in 1.96 seconds and has a stated top speed of 350 km/h.
The Denza Z’s second-generation 76-kWh Blade battery is integrated into the structure using cell-to-body construction. Range is rated at 380–408 km under WLTP, depending on version. Denza says its Flash Charging system can raise the battery from 10% to 97% in nine minutes at up to 1,500 kW. The car also features adaptive suspension and carbon-ceramic brakes.
The third Paris display was the BAO 5, a 4.90-metre plug-in hybrid SUV with a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine and two electric motors. Combined output is 544 hp, with 77.6 kgfm of torque and a stated total range of 833 km. Its 31.8-kWh battery provides up to 90 km of electric driving.
