Dongfeng, which will operate in Brazil under the DFM name, has outlined an initial network of 60 dealerships across 48 cities in 22 states. The company expects the outlets to begin opening in the fourth quarter of 2026. Thirty-two dealer groups have already signed agreements, with 16 locations planned for São Paulo and five for Rio de Janeiro. Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo are each slated to get two dealerships. Dongfeng aims to expand the network to 145 outlets nationwide in 2027.
The Brazilian launch lineup will begin with the Box electric hatchback and Vigo electric SUV, both shown to the local public in August. The roughly four-meter Box Urban has a 95-hp motor and a 43.89-kWh battery; its Inmetro-rated range is 275 km. The larger Vigo Urban Plus produces 163 hp, uses a 51.87-kWh battery and has a certified range of 302 km. Both models are planned to come with seven years of vehicle coverage and 10 years for the battery. Brazilian prices have not been announced, and presales are expected to start soon.
Dongfeng’s wider plan is to offer 11 vehicles in Brazil, including plug-in hybrid SUVs such as the Mage and Huge, as well as models from the group’s luxury brands Voyah and M-Hero. The article also notes Dongfeng’s partnerships in China with Nissan and Stellantis, but says no Brazil-bound vehicles arising from those ties have been confirmed.
