FAW Bestune has revealed a five-door version of its Xiaoma electric city car in China, with sales scheduled to start there on October 28. The new variant retains the model’s youthful styling but adds separate rear doors, making it easier to reach the back seats. Its first examples have already arrived at Chinese dealerships, expanding a Xiaoma range that offers nine configurations in that market.
The five-door Xiaoma measures 3.35 meters long, 1.54 meters wide and 1.60 meters tall, with a 2.21-meter wheelbase. Compared with the three-door model, it is 35 centimeters longer and 3 centimeters wider, while the wheelbase grows by 26.2 centimeters. Exterior updates include a more body-colored front treatment, revised lower air intake, LED projector headlights, semi-flush handles and updated wheel designs. The cabin receives a revised dashboard, additional storage spaces, steering-wheel controls and improved seat materials.
FAW has confirmed a new battery supplied by CATL, but has not yet disclosed its capacity, driving range or performance figures. The Xiaoma family has sold close to 300,000 units overall, according to the report; around 700 are in Colombia, where the model arrived in November 2024.
In Colombia, the three-door model was recently updated as the Xiaoma 2.0. It has a 40.2-hp rear motor producing 90 Nm, an 18.11-kWh LFP battery and a claimed CLTC range of 222 km. Its listed price was COP 45,990,000 as of October 2026. The report says the five-door version could broaden the car’s appeal in Colombia, but gives no local launch details.
