FAW-Volkswagen’s Jetta M6 EV received more than 10,000 confirmed, binding orders within 19 hours of going on sale in China on October 22, 2026. The electric sedan is the first EV from Jetta, a separate budget-focused brand in China; it is not the Volkswagen Jetta model previously sold in Vietnam. Prices for the three versions range from RMB 79,800 to RMB 99,800, equivalent to about VND 309 million to VND 387 million. Customers who cancel a confirmed order risk losing a deposit, typically RMB 3,000 to RMB 5,000.

The front-wheel-drive M6 uses one of two LFP battery packs, both supplied by CALB. The entry version has a 42.9 kWh battery, a 113 kW motor and a claimed 465 km of CLTC range, or about 377 km on the WLTP cycle. The two higher trims use a 145 kW motor and a 51.9 kWh pack, with up to 555 km of CLTC range—about 450 km WLTP. The stronger motor cuts the stated 0-100 km/h time from 8.3 to 6.8 seconds.

The sedan measures 4,806 mm long and has a 2,820 mm wheelbase. Its top trim includes Level 2 driver assistance using Horizon Robotics’ Journey 6M chip, while vehicle-to-load output is rated at up to 3.5 kW. The company says it will compensate for incidents involving the assistance system during the first ownership year. Jetta’s early order tally points to interest in lower-priced electric sedans in China.
