Chinese brands selling cars in Vietnam are in the middle of a broad September discount offensive, and the cuts are no longer confined to leftover 2024-2025 stock — models that only just went on sale are also being sweetened as the market works through a slow stretch.
BYD is going hardest, with combined offers worth up to around 100 million dong per car. Han EV Performance buyers get extras valued at more than 47 million dong, 2025-build cars add a further 20 million dong off plus a year of insurance, and the Seal 5 has its registration fee waived entirely — roughly 69.6 million dong — on top of 15 million in cash and a charging accessory bundle.
The newcomers are discounting too. GAC's recently launched GS3 Emzoom is priced at 599 million dong against a 639 million list price, with a seven-year warranty and free servicing labor thrown in. Omoda & Jaecoo have stretched the launch perks on the Jaecoo J5 through September — the EV Flagship's 30 years of free charging bring its effective price down to 599 million dong — before raising prices in October. Geely buyers, meanwhile, get insurance, roadside rescue and loyalty perks through distributor Tasco.
MG is clearing inventory aggressively: the G50 MPV carries perks totaling 110 million dong, while 2024-stock ZS units have shed more than 100 million dong and now sit below 400 million. The MG 5, HS and 2025 ZS also carry September offers.
