GAC Aion launched the UT Urban in Indonesia on October 13, 2026, positioning it between the electric car’s standard and premium trims. The company described it as an option for buyers seeking some of the higher-spec version’s amenities at a lower price. The launch took place in Bekasi, West Java.

Based on the standard UT, the Urban adds leather upholstery for the steering wheel and seats, a power tailgate linked to the head unit, and a six-way power-adjustable seat. Its exterior remains unchanged from the entry-level version, and GAC Aion said there are no technical changes.

The Urban keeps a 150 kW electric motor producing 210 Nm of torque, paired with a 60 kWh battery. Its stated driving range is 500 km. Priced at around Rp363 million on the road in Jakarta, it costs about Rp18 million more than the standard trim.
