Geely E2 electric hatchback shows up in Belgian showrooms ahead of September 11 launch

Display units of the Geely E2 — the city hatchback sold at home as the Xingyuan and badged EX2 in some export markets — have appeared at dealers in the Belgian cities of Brugge, Oostende and Roeselare. The cars currently on site are for showroom use only, as Geely has slated the first customer handovers across Benelux for September 11-12, coinciding with the official sales kickoff.

Pricing leans on a temporary 2,000-euro markdown, which brings the entry-level E2 Pro to 19,490 euros in Belgium and Luxembourg and 20,990 euros in the Netherlands. Without the promotion, the base trim lists at between 21,490 and 22,990 euros, and two better-equipped versions — Max and Ultra — will sit above it.

Measuring 4,135 mm long with a 2,650 mm wheelbase, the E2 combines a 375-liter trunk with a 70-liter frunk and carries heated seats, a 14.6-inch screen, seven airbags and a multi-link rear suspension. The Pro trim runs a 35 kWh battery rated at 252 km of WLTP range, while Max and Ultra step up to 47 kWh and 345 km. European motor details remain unconfirmed, although other markets receive a single 85 kW (114 hp) motor on the rear axle. The model has already taken five stars in the Euro NCAP 2026 safety tests.

The Belgian display cars arrived in white and pink and ride on Yokohama BluEarth-GT tires, an upgrade over the budget Linglong rubber fitted to Chinese-market Xingyuans. Back home, the Xingyuan continues to lead China's sales charts in 2026 with 226,465 units delivered so far this year, according to China EV DataTracker.
