Geely has unveiled the Monjaro EM-i at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, ahead of its planned arrival in UK showrooms next year. The 4.8-metre, roughly two-tonne plug-in hybrid SUV will initially seat five and is set to become Geely’s UK flagship. A seven-seat version may follow, although the company has not confirmed when.
The EM-i system pairs a hybrid-specific 1.5-litre petrol engine with one electric motor in front-wheel-drive versions, or two motors in all-wheel-drive models. Geely has not yet disclosed output, battery capacity or electric range. The SUV will have Pure, Hybrid, Power and Snow driving modes; AWD versions add Off-Road and Sand. Those models can also be equipped with adaptive suspension, while the GEA Evo platform supports axle decoupling and torque vectoring.
Inside, the Monjaro gets a 15.4-inch central touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus a 12.3-inch instrument display. A 25.6-inch head-up display and 16-speaker, 1,000-watt sound system are optional. Boot capacity is 633 litres, rising to 1,532 litres with the rear seats folded. The SUV is slightly longer and taller than the second-generation Skoda Kodiaq and has a longer wheelbase, but its luggage space falls short of the Kodiaq iV’s 745- to 1,945-litre range.
UK pricing is expected to begin in the low £40,000s. That would place it below the Kodiaq iV, which starts just under £43,000, and the Hyundai Santa Fe Plug-in Hybrid, priced from about £53,000. Geely’s larger Galaxy Battleship 700 is also slated for the UK in 2028 and is expected to take over as the top model.
