Geely has presented the Monjaro for the European market at the Paris Motor Show, with sales expected to begin sometime in 2026. The SUV is about 4.80 meters long and is related to the Renault Koleos sold in Brazil, but its European powertrain and equipment differ from that model.
The European Monjaro uses Geely’s EM-i plug-in hybrid system, combining a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with electric propulsion. Front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive will be offered. The all-wheel-drive versions add adaptive dampers and an e-AWD system that can distribute power according to road conditions. Drivers can select Comfort, Standard or Sport suspension settings, while the drive modes also include sand and off-road options. Geely has not yet announced European-market output, battery capacity or electric range.
The cabin includes a 15.4-inch infotainment display, a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel and an optional head-up display. Equipment can include a panoramic sunroof, ventilated and massage-capable front seats, and a 16-speaker sound system. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are supported, and vehicle-to-load functionality can supply up to 6.6 kW to external devices. The boot holds 633 liters, or 1,532 liters with the rear seats folded. Unlike the plug-in model, the Monjaro i-HEV sold in China does not use an externally rechargeable system.
