Geely has updated the fourth-generation Emgrand sedan for China, where it remains on sale alongside the newer fifth-generation model. The older car now comes exclusively in the Upward series among its gasoline versions; a methanol-powered hybrid is also available in China. The latest changes follow a more limited Upward update introduced in spring 2026.
Exterior revisions include a larger grille with new paired vertical chrome bars, a black lower front bumper and redesigned black trim with horizontal bright accents. The rear bumper and wheel designs have also changed. Base cars use 16-inch wheels, while other versions get 17-inch rims. Inside, every trim now has Geely’s Flyme Auto system and a 12.8-inch screen, replacing the former 8-inch or 12.3-inch displays. The dashboard layout has been adjusted, and the car gets a new steering wheel.
The Upward range has three trims. Equipment varies from LED lighting, an 8.8-inch digital instrument panel, manual air conditioning and a reversing camera to keyless entry, climate and cruise control, and a surround-view system with a transparent-chassis function. The top version adds a sunroof and powered driver’s seat adjustments. Power comes from an unchanged 1.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine producing 120 hp, paired with a five-speed manual in the base model or a CVT in the other trims. Prices before promotions run from 68,900 to 82,900 yuan. Geely no longer sells a sedan under its own name in Russia, where the Belgee S50 has taken the Emgrand’s place.
