Geely’s Starray plug-in hybrid is available to UK customers for £179.94 a month on a two-year lease through Leasing Options, via Auto Express’s car-buying service. The advertised terms require an initial payment of £2,559.27 and limit annual mileage to 5,000 miles. A lower initial payment of £2,170.83 is also listed, while increasing the allowance to 8,000 miles a year adds between £23 and £26 to the monthly cost, depending on the upfront payment selected.
The offer is for the Starray in Pro trim. Equipment includes electrically adjustable heated front seats, a 360-degree camera, keyless entry and a 15.4-inch touchscreen with navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Its plug-in hybrid system pairs a 98bhp 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine with a 215bhp electric motor. Geely quotes an electric-only range of 51 miles and a combined petrol-electric range of more than 500 miles.
Auto Express describes the SUV as quiet and comfortable, while noting that the Ford Kuga is sharper to drive but costs more than £100 extra per month.
