Geely has introduced a smart EV-charging system rated at up to 2.25 megawatts. The company says it can charge a compatible vehicle from 10% to 70% in four minutes and 30 seconds. Lynk & Co 10 and Zeekr 001 vehicles were used in field tests, according to the report.
The system uses Geely’s Xingrui PowerMind AI model, developed with StepFun, to forecast battery-cell temperatures and adjust charging power. Geely says the controls keep average battery temperature below 55°C, with peaks capped at 65°C. Drivers can choose among extreme, smart and automatic charging modes.
Geely also describes a pulse-based feature intended to restore lithium-ion activity and says it can raise battery cycle life by 20% compared with conventional batteries. The company plans to deploy more than 100,000 charging points by the end of 2027, with over half supporting the new system. Eligible-car battery coverage is being extended to eight years or 200,000 km; new owners are also promised 1,000 yuan in annual charging credit for two years.
