Geely has introduced the 2027 Emgrand Upward Series in China, with promotional prices starting at 59,900 yuan (about $8,410). The offer runs through November 30, 2026, and reduces each version’s listed price by 9,000 yuan. The launch headline also highlights a 540-degree camera, although the article gives no further details about the system.
The three-model range pairs one five-speed manual version with two CVT options. Before discounts, prices range from 68,900 to 82,900 yuan; promotional prices span 59,900 to 73,900 yuan. All versions retain a naturally aspirated 1.5-liter four-cylinder petrol engine rated at 88 kW (120 hp) and 150 Nm. The CVT simulates eight forward ratios.
Changes include revised front and rear bumper details and a 12.8-inch floating touchscreen running Geely’s Flyme Auto system. Connectivity includes Huawei HiCar, Carlink and Flyme Link. The sedan continues on Geely’s BMA platform, used by the fourth-generation Emgrand introduced in 2021, and keeps its MacPherson front and torsion-beam rear suspension.
Geely says Emgrand sales have exceeded 3.8 million across four generations since 2009. The petrol model targets China’s budget-car segment, where the article names the BYD Seagull and Nissan Sylphy Classic as alternatives. Geely’s larger Emgrand i-HEV hybrid, launched in June, starts at $13,010 and has stated fuel consumption of 3.83 L/100 km.
