Lepas has revealed the Aura concept at an event in China, presenting a sleek compact car that blends hatchback proportions with shooting-brake styling. The brand, part of Chery Group, has recently entered the UK as the group’s fourth marque there; its current UK offering is the L8 family SUV.

The Aura applies Lepas’s existing design themes to a lower, sportier body. Up front, a backlit display takes the place of a conventional grille, with Lepas lettering at its centre. The largely closed-off nose suggests a possible all-electric powertrain, but the company has not confirmed the concept’s propulsion system. Slim headlights and a sharply sloping bonnet complete the front-end treatment.

The study also features 22-inch wheels with red detailing, aerodynamic elements around the sides and rear, and a diffuser-style lower bumper. At the back, illuminated Lepas lettering is integrated into the rear light unit, while a fin sits above the bootlid. Lepas has not said whether the Aura will reach production, so its role is currently as a design preview; the company says nothing in the report about specifications or a launch timeline.
