LEPAS, a brand within China’s Chery Group, has received a 2026 Torino Automotive Design Award for the L6’s interior. The SUV won in the City Car category at the Turin event, where 87 models from 46 Chinese brands were assessed. Judges cited its roomy cabin, materials, flexible storage and the way technology is incorporated for comfort and everyday use.

The cabin features a flat floor for rear passengers, multiple storage areas and a mix of physical controls and digital functions. Depending on specification and market, equipment can include dual wireless-phone charging and heated and ventilated seats. The award comes as the brand prepares to enter Chile: units of both the L4 and L6 are there for homologation. LEPAS has identified the L4 EV for its prospective Chilean range, is still considering the L6 EV, and has confirmed plans to bring an L6 plug-in hybrid.

In Spain, LEPAS has presented electric versions of both SUVs. They use 65-kWh LFP batteries, offer up to 450 km of WLTP range and support charging at up to 120 kW; a 30-to-80% charge is quoted at about 22 minutes. The L6 EV is 4.57 metres long and produces 160 kW and 275 Nm, with a 410-litre boot that expands to 1,334 litres. The L4 EV is 4.42 metres long. Both share a 2.70-metre wheelbase and LEXP platform, but specifications may differ by market.
