Li Auto's second-generation Mega Home MPV goes on sale in China at 509,800 yuan

Li Auto has put the second iteration of its flagship MPV on the Chinese market as the Mega Home, priced at 509,800 yuan (about 75,000 US dollars). A week ahead of the launch, founder Li Xiang built anticipation by likening the vehicle to the original iPhone. First customer cars ship this week, and a right-hand-drive version is slated for Hong Kong, Macau and Thailand before the year is out.

Styling changes live mostly in the details: fresh front-end trim, UWB near-field sensors replacing the ultrasonic units, a three-colour adaptive rear light display and 18-inch "Flying saucer" wheels. At 5,355 mm long with a 3,300 mm wheelbase, the big MPV also gains a 3D-embossed tailgate and repositioned taillights. The cabin leans hard into home-on-wheels territory: a 29-inch 6K OLED dash screen run by dual Mahe M100 chips with a claimed 2,560 TOPS, four zero-gravity seats with a steplessly rotating second row, 31 heating zones with hot-stone massage, EC dimming glass, a 33-speaker stereo, a 10-litre fridge and a modular table that converts into a dining surface.

Driver assistance comes from a four-lidar array and the new Mahe VLA model. The dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup delivers 413 kW (554 hp) combined, drawing on a 108 kWh CATL ternary battery for a 710 km electric range. Dual-chamber air springs, an active anti-roll chassis, steer-by-wire and ±7-degree rear-wheel steering cut the turning circle to 5.5 m, while an Elephant Welcome function lowers one side of the body by 30 mm within two seconds to ease entry and exit.
