Li Auto has revealed an updated version of its i6 electric SUV in China, roughly a year after the model first went on sale. The refreshed vehicle is due to reach Chinese dealers at the end of October, with sales set to start on October 28. The i6 has been a strong seller: 152,842 were delivered from January through August 2026, according to BestSellingCarsBlog.
The exterior dimensions remain unchanged at 4,950 mm long, 1,935 mm wide and 1,670 mm tall, with a 3,000-mm wheelbase. Changes include semi-hidden door handles, additional paint choices and matrix headlights borrowed from the Li Mega minivan. The five-seat cabin now has a single 29-inch dashboard display instead of two 15.7-inch screens, while a head-up display takes over instrument duties. Li Auto also says the front seats have gained a more comfortable zero-gravity function. A company-developed Mach 100 chip joins the Qualcomm 8797 in handling the vehicle’s electronics.
According to preliminary information, buyers will still be able to choose rear-wheel drive with 340 hp or dual-motor all-wheel drive with 544 hp. The new in-house 96-kWh battery is rated for up to 780 km on the CLTC cycle. The earlier model used an 87.3-kWh CATL battery and was rated at 720 km for rear-wheel drive or 660 km for all-wheel drive. The outgoing i6 started at 249,800 yuan. Li Auto is also preparing a European debut at the Paris Motor Show, which opens October 12; it has not said whether the updated version will be shown.
