Nippon Paint Indonesia has introduced Pylox Premium, a premium aerosol spray paint developed specifically for motorcycle finishing. The launch, held in Jakarta, extends a brand that has been active in the country's automotive refinishing scene since 1971.
The headline feature is the color range: 77 new shades, of which 32 replicate factory-original motorcycle colors. Mark Liew, General Manager of Nippon Paint Indonesia's TU Division, said the breadth reflects a shift in how riders approach their bikes — less about radical customization and more about personalization, tidier finishes, or faithful restoration to the original look. He noted that Nippon Paint's long history of supplying OEM colors to motorcycle factories is being carried directly into the retail product.
On the technical side, the formula is engineered for a high-gloss, premium-looking finish and dries quickly for easier application. An adjustable, rotatable spray valve lets users spray precisely in vertical or horizontal passes, while the cured film is designed to resist cracking and petrol splashes.
Beyond the product itself, the company says it wants to embed Pylox deeper into the automotive ecosystem — working with retailers, workshops and rider communities so the brand grows through hands-on user experience rather than shelf presence alone.
