Chery introduced the Omoda 4 at the Paris Motor Show as a new, internationally oriented entry point for the Omoda brand. The 4.42-meter crossover is positioned below the Chery E5 in size and price, and is offered with either a full-hybrid or fully electric drivetrain. The E5, sold in Colombia, is the electric version of the Omoda 5 under Chery’s main brand; the article says the E5 is expected in Western showrooms in early 2027. Omoda is also preparing to enter Colombia alongside sister brand Jaecoo, though the Omoda 4’s arrival there is not confirmed.

The exterior uses Omoda’s Cyber Mecha design theme, with angular detailing, a sloping roofline, 18-inch wheels and distinctive rear lighting. Inside, a 13.2-inch vertical touchscreen handles media, climate and vehicle settings, while a separate digital instrument display faces the driver. The Paris-show example also featured more than 20 games, karaoke, a dedicated game controller and an AI-enabled cockpit. The cargo area is listed at 402 litres, expanding to 1,126 litres with the rear seats folded. Cyber Pilot driver assistance includes automatic and remote parking, although equipment may vary by market.

The hybrid combines a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine with a drive motor and a generator, producing about 221 hp and 295 Nm. It uses a one-speed DHT transmission, front-wheel drive and a 1.83-kWh battery. Omoda quotes 0–100 km/h in 8.1 seconds, a 180 km/h top speed and more than 900 km of combined range.

The electric version is rated at 215 hp and 275 Nm, with a 67-kWh LFP battery and a projected range above 450 km; the measurement cycle has not been specified. Charging at up to 120 kW is said to take the battery from 30% to 80% in 22 minutes. Its claimed 0–100 km/h time is 7.9 seconds.
