Omoda showed the X concept in Wuhu, China, on October 20 at the International User Summit 2026. The medium-size crossover blends an adventure-oriented SUV shape with angular, futuristic styling. Its cabin features a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel and a 13.2-inch infotainment screen, alongside a thermal-vision system intended to help identify people, animals and other objects when visibility is poor. Omoda has not said whether that feature will be offered on a production vehicle.
The concept is planned with three possible powertrains: battery-electric, conventional hybrid and plug-in hybrid. Omoda has yet to provide motor, battery, performance or range details, and has not confirmed that the X will enter production. The company does cite several off-road-related figures: 20 cm of ground clearance, the ability to cross water up to 70 cm deep, and a maximum towing capacity of 1,800 kg. Details such as drivetrain and suspension remain undisclosed, limiting what can be concluded about its capability.
The X’s design includes pronounced wheel arches, large wheels and geometric bodywork. Omoda describes its mix of crossover and sporty cues as “Crossvolution.” There is no confirmed market or launch timing, including for Brazil. The source notes that Omoda’s Brazilian plans include the Omoda 4 and Omoda 7 HEV in 2027, while the X remains a concept.
