Omoda has previewed the X, a new crossover scheduled for its world reveal on October 20 in Wuhu, China. The debut will take place at the Chery International User Summit, an annual event running from October 18 to 24 that brings together customers, media and business partners from multiple countries. The model will also feature at an Omoda X Night event within the summit program.

The sketches suggest a high-riding vehicle with a low roofline that slopes toward the rear, prominent wheel arches and large wheels. Omoda describes the design direction as a blend of sporty proportions and an off-road stance, and uses the term “Crossvolution” for its mix of vehicle categories. The styling also draws on the futuristic, geometric “mecha” look previously seen on the Omoda 4.

Omoda has not announced the X’s dimensions, platform or powertrain, and has not said whether it will be electric, hybrid or combustion-powered. The name is intended to evoke both the meeting of different paths and the idea of new possibilities, according to the company.

There is no confirmation that the X will reach Brazil. Omoda & Jaecoo has announced plans for seven launches in Brazil in 2027, spanning several vehicle segments, but the only model identified by name so far is the smaller Omoda 4, positioned below the Omoda 5.
