A PakWheels owner review in Pakistan examines a 2026 Chery Tiggo 9 PHEV, focusing on its family comfort, performance and day-to-day ownership. The owner said he chose it after considering the BYD Sealion 6, as frequent trips to Pakistan’s northern areas made a plug-in hybrid more suitable than a full electric vehicle. The SUV’s ex-factory price was PKR 13.7 million; withholding tax and registration added PKR 270,000 and PKR 322,000 respectively. The owner put the total on-road cost, including paint protection and ceramic treatment, at roughly PKR 14.5 million to PKR 15 million.

The review lists a 34 kWh battery, combined output above 600 hp and 920 Nm of torque. The owner reported fuel economy of 10–11 km/L in hybrid mode while driving hard, and said the vehicle comes with a 3 kW home charger. He praised the quiet cabin, massage seats, head-up display and Level 2 driver-assistance features, including blind-spot monitoring and autonomous parking. It also has 20-inch alloy wheels; despite the large wheels, he found the ride comfortable. He cautioned that the SUV’s weight can mean a longer stopping distance during emergency braking at high speed.

Ownership drawbacks include no spare wheel, an inactive dashcam system, controls that are difficult to see at night and awkward access to the third row. The review also says Master Motors requires an engine-oil service every three months or 5,000 km to preserve warranty coverage, a requirement some owners want extended. Despite these concerns, the reviewer said he would buy the Tiggo 9 PHEV again at the same budget.
