Jaecoo has revealed the J5 BEV in Pakistan as a locally assembled, or CKD, model. The electric crossover joins a J5 hybrid already available in the market. The reveal did not include a price, and the company has not yet announced one.
The Premium Plus uses a 58.9 kWh battery and a front-mounted motor rated at 207.8 hp and 288 Nm, driving the front wheels. Jaecoo quotes a 0–100 km/h time of 7.7 seconds, with Eco, Normal and Sport modes. Range figures in the article differ: its introduction mentions 461 km, while the specifications table gives 392 km under WLTP and 335 km under EPA. Charging is listed at up to 11 kW AC and 130 kW DC.
Exterior details include a closed front fascia, automatic LED headlights, 18-inch wheels, a powered tailgate and a motorized charging-port lid. The cabin has a 13.2-inch infotainment screen, an eight-speaker audio system, ventilated power-adjustable front seats, 50W wireless phone charging and a 1.45-square-meter panoramic roof. The article describes this as the company’s first CKD model and notes that a road test is still needed to assess ride comfort and rear-seat space.
