Geely has detailed the top-spec EM-R Max version of its Starray SUV for Thailand, where the range-extender arrives as a fully built import from China at an official price of 799,900 baht — an introductory figure reserved for the first 300 units. The wider EM-R lineup runs from 699,900 to 799,900 baht. Early customers also receive 1.98% financing, a ceramic window film, five years of round-the-clock roadside assistance, a year of first-class insurance and a portable charging cable.

As a series hybrid, the EM-R uses its 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine purely to generate electricity for a front-mounted motor making 160 kW (218 PS) and 262 Nm. The 18.4 kWh LFP battery is credited with 104.8 km of NEDC electric range and accepts up to 6.6 kW AC or 30 kW DC charging, with a 30–80% top-up taking 20 minutes; V2L output can power external devices, and 0–100 km/h takes a claimed 8 seconds. With a 50-litre fuel tank on board, the pitch is simple: plug in on weekdays, refuel for long holiday drives.

Measuring 4,740 mm long on a 2,755 mm wheelbase, the Max offers 528 litres of boot space, expandable to 2,065 litres with the rear bench folded. Kit includes a 15.4-inch central touchscreen, a 10.2-inch digital cluster, a 13.8-inch head-up display, a panoramic sunroof, a power tailgate, 19-inch wheels, 256-colour ambient lighting, a 14-speaker audio system and over-the-air updates.

Safety provision covers six airbags, a 360-degree camera and a lengthy driver-assistance roster spanning adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane keeping and blind-spot monitoring. Warranty terms run six years or 160,000 km for the vehicle and eight years or 180,000 km for the high-voltage battery. Four exterior shades are offered, with Glacier Blue exclusive to the Max, and all pair with a black interior.
