Soueast has returned to Argentina with the S06, a China-built plug-in hybrid SUV that began selling locally in October 2026. The brand, which is part of Chery Group, is represented by Grupo Antelo and made its relaunch at the Expo Auto Chino event in Buenos Aires. The S06 is a five-seat, C-segment model offered in Comfort and Luxury trims, with prices of US$30,900 and US$33,900 respectively.

Both versions use a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine, an electric motor and a 19.5-kWh battery. The reported combined output is 265 hp, and the front-wheel-drive SUV uses a 1-DHT automatic transmission. Soueast quotes up to 120 km of electric-only driving and more than 1,300 km of combined range under the NEDC test cycle. The vehicle supports AC charging at up to 6.6 kW and DC charging at up to 40 kW, and includes vehicle-to-load capability.

Standard equipment includes six airbags, adaptive cruise control and automatic emergency braking. The Luxury adds a panoramic roof, cooled and heated front seats, and additional driver-assistance features; the announcement also lists leather upholstery, 20-inch wheels and a 50-watt wireless phone charger for this trim. Both versions carry a warranty of seven years or 200,000 km. Grupo Antelo says it has 12 official dealerships in Argentina. The S07, a larger seven-seat SUV, is expected to join the local range in the coming months. The report also notes that the S06 lacks a spare wheel and comes with a puncture-repair kit.
