Chery dealer Evans Halshaw is advertising the Tiggo 7 plug-in hybrid in the UK for £202.40 a month through Auto Express’s car-buying service. The two-year deal requires an initial payment of £2,668.75 and sets annual mileage at 5,000 miles. Choosing a nine-month initial payment would reduce the amount due upfront by around £400, with monthly payments rising to £222.49. Increasing the mileage allowance to 8,000 a year costs less than £15 extra per month.

The offer covers the range-topping Summit version. Its plug-in hybrid system pairs a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine rated at 201bhp with a 201bhp electric motor and an 18.4kWh battery. Chery claims up to 56 miles of electric-only range and fuel economy of 343mpg, noting that achieving a figure close to the latter depends on charging the vehicle regularly.

Summit equipment includes electrically adjustable front seats, two 12.3-inch displays, an eight-speaker Sony audio system and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Auto Express describes the Tiggo 7 as quiet, comfortable and refined, while saying it is less engaging to drive than a Kia Sportage. The deal is subject to availability and terms, and the publication notes that its prices may change.
