Geely has begun selling the latest version of its Boyue compact SUV in China, where the model is also known as the Cityray in markets including Russia. The SUV, introduced in 2023, has received a second facelift in China; the latest update was previewed in late September. Its main revisions are to the exterior, while the powertrain is unchanged.

At the rear, the former boomerang-shaped taillights have been replaced by a single light bar with new LED elements. Geely also redesigned the tailgate, spoiler and bumper, hiding the exhaust outlets behind trapezoidal trim. Up front, the grille and bumper are new, with styling cues from the larger Boyue L. The updated SUV measures 4,570 mm long, 1,865 mm wide and 1,635 mm tall, with a 2,707 mm wheelbase. Luggage capacity is now 585 liters, plus a further 75 liters beneath the floor.

Inside, changes include a new gear selector and a sliding cover for the cupholders. Standard equipment includes a 10.2-inch digital instrument display and a 14.6-inch infotainment screen. The four trim levels range from 17-inch wheels, LED lights, climate control and surround-view cameras to 19-inch wheels, ambient lighting and a heated steering wheel; higher grades add features such as adaptive cruise control, lane keeping, seat ventilation and massage.

All versions use a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine producing 181 hp and 290 Nm, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and front-wheel drive. Prices are 85,900–106,900 yuan before promotions. Russia continues to receive the earlier 2023 version, and Geely has not announced when or how that market’s model will be updated.
