Xiaomi puts seven-seat Skynomad N90 Max EREV on sale in China

Xiaomi has started selling the Skynomad N90 Max in China, a large seven-seat crossover built on an extended-range hybrid layout. In this setup a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine never turns the wheels — it exists purely to generate electricity for a pair of motors with a combined 421 hp. Xiaomi quotes 464 km of battery-only driving and 1,705 km of combined range on the CLTC cycle.

The SUV stretches 5,285 mm long with a 3,080 mm wheelbase, and its claimed 0.255 drag coefficient stands out for something this size. The cross-shaped front lamps are said to reach 624 meters down the road, while a hood-mounted air intake enables wading through water up to 750 mm deep — the report even credits the vehicle with an ability to stay afloat.

Inside, buyers choose among ceramic-cream, black and mocha-brown cabin themes. Seating is laid out 2+2+3 and folds into 11 configurations, freeing up 1,831 liters of cargo space. The first two rows get zero-gravity, massage, ventilation and heating modes, a sliding center console hides a 9-liter fridge, and a 16.1-inch screen runs HyperOS on a Qualcomm 8650 chip.

The safety and ADAS package includes 12 airbags, an Nvidia Thor chip rated at 700 TOPS running Xiaomi's HAD XLA cognitive driver-assist model, highway and city navigation assist, and automated parking. The chassis uses five-level air suspension with double wishbones up front and a multi-link rear axle. Pricing is 269,900 yuan for the N90 Max, or 299,900 yuan for an Explorer Edition fitted with an electrically raised camping rooftop.
