Xiaomi's Skynomad N90 Max EREV arrives with a factory pop-up roof camper option

Xiaomi has expanded its SUV line-up with a new flagship. On September 7, 2026, the company put the Skynomad N90 Max on sale as a large seven-seat extended-range electric SUV from 269,900 yuan (about 39,700 USD). Buyers keen on the outdoors can opt for the Explorer Edition at 299,900 yuan (44,100 USD), which replaces the standard roof with a factory-built, electrically raised cabin aimed at campers.

At 5,285 mm long with a 3,080 mm wheelbase, the N90 Max slips through the air with a 0.255 drag coefficient, cross-shaped LED lamps Xiaomi brands the "Dragonfly" design, and a hood-integrated intake that enables 750 mm of wading depth plus emergency floating. Inside sits a 16.1-inch HyperOS infotainment screen on a Qualcomm 8650 chip, 2+2+3 seating with eleven possible layouts, zero-gravity massage seats in the first two rows, and a rail-mounted sliding centre console packing a 9-litre fridge. Cargo capacity tops out at 1,831 litres.

A 1.5-litre turbo range extender teams with dual motors rated 210 kW front and 100 kW rear, fed by a 76 kWh NCM pack good for 464 km of CLTC electric range and 1,705 km combined; 15 minutes of fast charging adds 285 km, while depleted-battery consumption is 6.26 L/100 km on the WLTC cycle. Driver assistance comes from a 700 TOPS Nvidia Thor platform running Xiaomi's HAD XLA model, with roof and rear-facing solid-state LiDAR among the sensor suite. Structural kit includes a 2,200 MPa roll cage, 12 airbags and five-level adjustable air suspension.
