XPeng and its UAE distributor, Gulf Star Motors, unveiled the GX and G9L for the local market at a Dubai event on November 3, 2026. The company also demonstrated smart-driving technologies and robots, and highlighted its flying-vehicle project. The GX had attracted more than 500 confirmed orders in the UAE ahead of launch, while regional orders were approaching 4,000, according to figures XPeng had announced the previous month.
The six-seat GX is a large SUV offered as a battery-electric vehicle or with a range extender. XPeng cites up to 430 km of electric driving and a combined range of 1,585 km for the range-extended version, using China’s CLTC test cycle. It uses an 800-volt electrical architecture. The G9L is a luxury SUV measuring 5.12 meters long, with a 3.10-meter wheelbase; buyers can choose a fully electric version or one with XPeng’s Kunpeng range-extension system.
XPeng presented its Turing AI chips and VLA 2.0 driving system. The GX’s computing capacity reaches 3,000 TOPS in the Level 4 Robotaxi configuration, not in regular customer vehicles. A demonstration video showed a 2.2-ton shipping container dropped onto a GX roof from one meter. The event also recalled that XPeng’s flying-vehicle unit, ARIDGE, had received more than 7,000 advance orders worldwide.
The GX debuted in China in May 2026, followed by the G9L’s China launch in September and its Paris Motor Show appearance in October. XPeng said it had begun shipping larger batches of vehicles to the Middle East and Africa, and announced distribution agreements in Oman, Kuwait, Nigeria and Albania.
