Xpeng introduced its GX and G9L flagship SUVs in Dubai on November 2, opening pre-orders in 11 Middle East and African countries for each model. The event was the GX’s overseas debut. The company has not announced delivery dates. In the UAE, the GX Flagship Edition is priced at AED 299,000 (about $81,410), while G9L pre-sales start at AED 259,000.

The models share 10 markets: the UAE, Qatar, Morocco, Tunisia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Lebanon, Jordan and Nigeria. The GX is also available in Egypt, while the G9L is offered in Ghana. Xpeng said the GX had drawn more than 4,000 orders across the region, including 800 in the UAE.

Both SUVs use Xpeng’s Kunpeng range-extender system. The company cites a maximum combined NEDC range of 1,210 km and says the 800-volt system supports 5C charging, taking the battery from 10% to 80% in as little as 10.7 minutes. The GX is a six-seat model focused on cabin space and comfort; the G9L has flexible three-row seating and is aimed at family trips and outdoor use.

Xpeng plans to enter all six Gulf Cooperation Council markets by the end of 2026 and reach more than 20 countries and regions in the Middle East and Africa by 2027, with over 100 sales and service outlets. It also plans six regional model launches over the next year. In October, overseas deliveries reached 13,326, up 166% year on year, while total deliveries hit 50,237.
