Arab GT tested the XPeng GX in Suwayhan, UAE, to assess its performance in extreme Gulf heat. After the SUV sat in direct sun for more than two and a half hours, the cabin reached 49°C. With the air conditioning set to maximum, vent temperature fell from 55°C to about 22°C in two minutes; the cabin cooled to 29°C within 11 minutes and settled near 23°C after roughly 15 minutes of driving. The test car had Chinese-market specifications, while the GCC version is expected to receive a more powerful compressor and other heat-focused upgrades.
The six-seat luxury SUV measures more than 5.2 metres long and offers 673 litres of luggage space with all seats in place, or 1,708 litres with the third row folded. Features described in the test include air suspension, rear-wheel steering, electrically operated doors and running boards, and second-row zero-gravity seating. The cabin also has a 33-speaker sound system, a folding rear entertainment screen and a 12.5-litre refrigerator that can cool, freeze or warm items.
Its range-extended electric system produces 503 hp and 695 Nm through electric motors and all-wheel drive. XPeng quotes a 0–100 km/h time of 4.9 seconds, a 200 km/h top speed and a 63.3 kWh battery with about 250 km of electric range. The Gulf version’s stated combined range is around 1,200 km. During the test, charging rose from about 48% to 98% in under 20 minutes; the platform supports charging up to 350 kW.
The Flagship is expected to start at around AED 299,000 (about US$81,416). Coverage includes a seven-year/160,000 km vehicle warranty and an eight-year/160,000 km battery warranty. The report cites 500 UAE reservations and more than 3,000 orders across the Middle East and Africa, with initial deliveries expected in January 2027.
